Buddy Roemer has a sense of humour

I will confess I didn’t know until just now that Buddy Roemer was running for president. I don’t know a whole lot about his politics, but he is clearly the GOP candidate with the best sense of humour.

Highlights from his tweets:
Maybe I should've waited until *after* the Iowa caucus to say I would cut all ethanol subsidies. #corny

Herman Cain just called. He said he'd give me his 30 votes in Iowa if I stop making fun of 9-9-9. #racetothebottom

I almost have enough votes in Iowa to start a bowling league. #Roementum

BREAKING: Somebody who died in 1987 is beating me in Iowa. #invisibleman #LetBuddyDebate

I was born and raised in Louisiana, although I was going to college in Massachusetts for much of Roemer's governorship. I liked his politics only in contrast with his opposition (Edwin Edwards in 1987; Edwards and David Duke in 1991), but I met him a couple of times, and I did like him personally, including his sense of humor. I like it even more now.

Anyone who can see themselves so humorously deserves a few points.

I hadn't heard about him until last night either. And I was thoroughly amused by his tweets.

Interesting! I've never heard of him either!

Glad you saw those. I just came across them
and was going to forward. Love that sense
of humor, even if not all of his stances.

I had known he was running, but didn't know much about him. He was on the Rachel Maddow Show this past week and seemed to be a straight shooter. He is livid because he can't get an invitation to the debates although he says his numbers are as good as Jon Huntsman's. He believes he is being kept out in part because his views are a threat to those who have an interest in keeping big money in politics. The Maddow interview is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8T845Vh1jw
