Me: brain MRI
I'm guessing this is probably norovirus, gathering from what y'all seem to be up to. Got very suddenly sick at about 1:00pm at work (after PT appt I should post about), went home w/ a box and a roll of paper towels on the seat next to me just in case but managed not to lose lunch until after I got home; have been sleeping since then. Not on deathbed, but not very happy. But even this ill, I can still use "lose" and "loose" properly, so I'm ahead of 90% of the English-speaking Internet.

I hope cats can't get norovirus, because Chickenfinger is being her usual cuddly demanding self.

heh I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets irked when I see "loose" versus "lose". Hope ya feel better...consider jello as your friend once you can take in something. And remember, stay away from people for 3-5 days after you feel better.

Oh no, not you, too! Hope it passes quickly.

(And if I could Like part of this post, it would be the lose/loose bit.)

I sort of suspect I picked it up at a housewarming where at least one of my co-workers was as well. But I will do my best!

Thanks! Unfortunately, although I am feeling a lot better today and might in fact feel OK by tomorrow, norovirus is contagious for a few days after you feel better. So much though I want to be there, I don’t think it would be kind of me to come tomorrow night. Perhaps you can persuade your new drinks person to come next week, and we can discuss bilabial fricatives then?

By the way, plumtreeblossom’s favourite phoneme is the bilabio-ventral trill. :-)

Hunh. The idea of a phoneme that takes two people to produce has me wondering whether there have ever been communication systems where some of the signs involve the recipient. E.g., a language or sign system where tapping myself on the shoulder means one thing, but tapping you on the shoulder means something else. I know ASL makes use of the space in front of the signer to represent things being discussed; I wonder whether/how that allocation of space is affected by the viewer.

I have enough people around me sick with this, don't need the next wave getting it. Take care.

Good morning, beloved. I hope you got a long sleep, and that it helped. I love you so!

18 hours. I think that counts as a long sleep! And yes, it helped. I love you, my darling!

D & I had something like that about a week ago, but it was very short lived. Hope you're better soon.

After lots and lots of sleep I’m feeling significantly better. Not quite well, but better. Thanks!
