Good few days!

I’ve had a really lovely few days. I’m in a really good mood right now, and it’s not all the gin-and-tonic flowing through my veins.

Had dinner with zzbottom at Mary Chung’s on Monday. It was great to see him and catch up. (And by the way, I’m hoping to schedule a Poly Boston dinner there soon.)

Yesterday I went to the Diesel. Lately I’ve been kind of feeling like I don’t have anybody to talk to there sometimes (partly due to the timing of when I arrive) and I was kind of on the fence about going, but I’m really glad I did. I ended up going over to cathijosephine’s and keeping her company while she cleaned her newly-renovated bathroom. We had some good conversation on the train. I’m really glad we’re still part of each other’s lives despite the change in our relationship.

And today, mirabile visu, I actually cooked! Well, I chopped stuff up and threw it in the crock pot this morning. And I was pleasantly surprised when I got home to find that docorion had put away all the junk that had been on the dining room kitchen table since we moved, so the kitchen actually looks civilized. mud_puppy and mattlistener came over and we had yummy corned beef and veggies.

And now time for me to sleep; I have a meeting in Waltham for work tomorrow morning, and I want to be conscious and rested for it.

(Oh, there’s some chance I might be buying docorion’s car to replace my almost-dead one. (I’m borrowing it to get to Waltham tomorrow, because I have no confidence mine would make it.) Seems he’s excited about the idea of getting another “project car”. Recite after me, boys and girls: “Your Kink Is Not My Kink, but Your Kink Is OK.”)

And tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday promise to be lovely as well.
