Me[n] in skirts!

Me: taking pictures in Hawaii
I’m kind of behind on posting this; almost everybody on my Friends list has probably already seen this announced, but my friend ragingamazon has made a Men in Skirts¹ calendar, and Yours Truly is proud to be Miss April. (Links are work-safe, although a few of the cuties are bare-chested.) Get yours while supplies last!² (And most of the other models are friends of mine.)

(Back when ragingamazon and I first did the photoshoot, I meant to post a few of the pictures. Maybe this will nudge me to actually get around to doing that.)
¹ Technically, I’m in a sarong. Don’t tell the language police. I think there might be a kilt or two in there, too.
² i.e., forever. Cafépress prints on demand.

hmm, so does that mean that if I order it NEXT October they will send me a 2008 calendar? I ordered one a couple of days ago. They better be sending a 2007 calendar and not a calendar that starts wth Nov 2006 just because it is the next consecutive month... hmmm.

Hmmm... I assumed it meant you could order the 2007 calender until the heat-death of the Universe and beyond, but maybe I’m wrong. I suppose it would be odd for them to be printing 2007 calendars in 2031, but I don’t actually know; maybe ragingamazon would know.

Nice pictures! :) And you're one of the few who doesn't seem to be trying really hard to project that "Yes, I'm all that and a bag of chips" attitude, which gives you beaucoup points.

Do you know who June is? He reminds me of my ex.

Woo-hoo! *Struts around the room.* See that, world? Points! Now who da man?

:-)

He is underwatercolor, and he is a wonderful artist, a kind and gentle soul, and a good kisser. I just went and visited him and minerva42 in upstate New York last weekend.

Looking at his user info, sounds like a wonderful person, and not my ex. :)

Very nice!

Thanks! Many other months are even nicer. (I hope you didn’t miss Miss February, for instance! Mmmm, hair!)

Very cute! :-)

And I admit, I was gonna comment on February. ;-)

I like it that your picture doesn't say, "I may be wearing a skirt, but I'm TOUGH, damn it," the way some of the other guys do. You even have the guts to wear *gasp* color and *double gasp* flowers. :-)

Mr. February seems like he's trying the hardest at this, but Mr. March is photographed next to pipes and dirty barrels (very manly, don't you know :-)), Mr. August is photographed working on his car, and Mr. December is photographed with construction equipment. I just had to laugh! Yes, yes, you all still have cocks under those skirts; we believe you. Sheesh.

Still fun, though.

Is your pose meant to convey "I am a computer guru"?

Too bad they didn't contact my former sweetie D'Glenn. Now THAT man could wear a SKIRT! :-)

Thanks for the link.

That was actually kind of ragingamazon’s concept, actually; she wanted men not being femme in skirts, and not wearing them as drag. Fortunately for me, she realized I just couldn’t pull the butch thing off. :-)

And to some extent she wanted people to be doing things that symbolized their daily lives; that’s why she wanted me to bring my laptop (and why she posed me with random computery props).

The pose where I’m crosslegged was actually after she felt like she’d gotten all the pictures she wanted for the calendar, and was taking pictures at my suggestion. I sat cross-legged in this little metal cage thing, and she said “Wait! Wait! Stay like that!” and got my laptop and had me turn my hands up to look more Buddha-like. So yes, it was, but it was sort of a serendipitous juxtaposition.

My first inclination for that pose was to get a full-body shot that would fit comfortably in a 100x100-pixel square. :-)

*laugh* Martial arts equipment, rusty pipes, construction equipment, and car repair aren't just "not femme;" they're seriously butch. I sort of thought there was a nice middle ground in between butch and femme, the ground that most of my friends inhabit, in fact. :-)

Still, I thank you for the information. It makes me feel less worried for the gender security of the men involved. :-)

*kiss* to a very sexy calendar boy. :-) I hope you'll wear a sarong for me sometime! I have one similar to that, in fact.

I gave a boyfriend a skirt for his birthday once. I knew he'd been thinking about wanting to wear one but couldn't actually bring himself to BUY one, so I bought it for him. He loved it and wore it for me from time to time.

In other words, if there's something you want to see the 'Wabbit in, I bet you can accomplish that. I'm sure he's too polite to refrain from wearing a gift. :-)

(We haven't actually met, but if you make the 'Wabbit happy, that makes you a good person in my book.)

That's SO cool!!!

Ya want one? I’m getting several copies directly from ragingamazon; I can send you one. Many other yummy people you know in it, too.

I do!!! Thank you! Yay!!!

Okay, I totally need to order that. (The idea of having it up at work is awesome, methinks.)
