Kala arrived Saturday evening, and it's been wonderful having her here. Unfortunately she's been getting over an illness (which she thinks is sinusitis at this point :-( ), and between that and the timing of her arrival we didn't make it to a Solstice party we'd talked about going to. But we've been having a great time; it's so good to have her here!

On Sunday, I made it to the Flea for a bit, and then went out to a yummy dinner. Didn't get much at the Flea; I kept looking at stuff and thinking, well, this is nice, but I already have one. :-) It was a great time, though, and dinner afterwards was lovely.

I forget whether it was Sunday or Monday that Kala and I watched Drowning Mona, one of my favourite comedies.

On Tuesday, we went to the Diesel and ended up going to Martsa's on Elm for dinner with [info]cathijosephine, [info]ragingamazon, and [info]rosif3r. Yay for sweeties meeting each other and liking each other. (Also yay for amazing yummy food!)

On Wednesday I got together with [info]cathijosephine, and we had a very fun philosophical discussion (inspired by a phone conversation she was having with quinnclub), and she showed me Harvey (which we didn't quite finish because we got a late start, but she lent it to me to finish on my own).

I'm not sure what the plan is for tonight, but tomorrow (Thursday) Kala and I are going to the MFA (using my membership for the first time since I got it more than six months ago). I'm looking forward to that. Maybe I'll show her my office, too, since it's just across the street.

Life is good.

Oh, I love Harvey. "Well, doctor, I've been at odds with reality for 35 years -- and I'm happy to say that I won out over it."

Enjoy. :-)

""Elwood," she would say, "in this world, you can be oh so smart, or oh so pleasant." Well, for [number omitted by force of poor memory] years I was smart. I reccommend pleasant."

Glad you're having a nice visit with Kala. Tell her we (me and Dwight) say hi!

I kept looking at stuff and thinking, well, this is nice, but I already have one.

Speaking of things one might pick up at the Flea... we picked up a replacement for the loan you made us last Spring. We need to figure out how to get yours back to you! :)
